Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy is a health profession that helps clients improve the way their nervous system functions. We help children develop skills that will lead to success in everyday life functions, including: motor skills, social skills, personal skills, and vocational pursuits. Within the Occupational Therapy process, we commence with assessments, which focus on individual and environmental abilities, and the difficulties related to activities in the person’s daily life, and play in younger population.
In a pediatric setting, our therapists use their expertise to help children prepare for and perform important learning and developmental activities. This typically includes working on sensory difficulties, motor planning, visual perception skills, with modifications to their fine motor skills and self-care tasks, which may be difficult for the child to exhibit. We provide both one to one and group sessions based on the child’s need. Additionally, improvement in cognitive, physical, behavioral, sensory and motor skills enhances their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. Children would gain skills which enables them to interact and engage with others effectively.
